0000357: Order on skills
We should have an ordering on skills so they show the engineers preference e.g.:

exim
postfix
apache
ftp
imap
Debian
SuSE

So they prefer/have more skills in exim this would be useful for both automatic assigning and for project plugin (when that feature is implemented)

What do you mean by "Preference" exactly. Do you mean ordering most-skilled to least-skilled. Or "likes-most" to "likes-least" ?

I didn't really want to tie this to a particular meaning on preference I though this could be upto the site to decide.

The main reason for this was so that we could extend project plugin to make decisions on who should be assigned a job more sensibly so consultants would have these ordered on the jobs they take

e.g.

Consultant1: Apache, Exim, FTP, mailman
Consultant2: SuSE, high availability, apache, FTP, exim, mailman

So from this we could identify if we needed someone with apache and mailman skills consultant1 would be the most appropriate choice

This gets my vote so long as we do as Paul has suggested and imply no meaning to the preference.

How would we configure preference?

Could we not just extend the existing skill multi select (edit_user_skills.php) and add an up down button like http://www.nuff-respec.com/external/javascriptgui.html [^] (but prettier)
