Summary0001329: Users aren't also added/considered as contacts for Tickets
DescriptionI'm seeing that my LDAP users when opening a ticket in the system can't assign themselves as contacts because there are no contacts loaded in the system. I would think that a end user should be able to select themselves as a contact when opening a ticket. Am I missing something? At current, I as a SiT admin would need to go in and manually add all our users in as contacts.... Is there a fix or workaround?

Hi Phillip,

This is working as designed as SiT has separate concepts for both users and contacts.

They way I've previously working around this is to write a trigger on the DB which created a contact on the relevant contracts when they are created as a user, I've also used a trigger to update the contact details when a users contact details are updated.

If your interested in this I could look at making the triggers I use for this available (they require abit of tweaking as they are very custom to our internal processes)

I can reveal that Nicdev007 has added a nice feature to his plugin, more info here: http://sitracker.org/wiki/Auto_create_with_tags_Plugin [^]

It has the ability to auto create a new contact if he/she is unknown to SiT, by searching LDAP.

Perhaps it can help you ?
