Summary0001454: Add feature to view current tickets open for a site when creating a ticket
DescriptionI would like to add a feature request in which when you go to open a ticket, you search for a contact, after you then select a contact it shows you all of the incidents open for that site, no matter the contact. This will help us identify tickets that are already open for that site and prevent duplicates. This will also help in that we we take a support call instead of searching for an open ticket that could be what the person is calling about we can pull up all of the open tickets for a site and see if one is already open.

agree this would be useful in some environments so should be configurable on/off

I think we should allow this to be plugin'able because there are so many different ways you could do duplicate checking I think we'll be unlikely to please everyone with a single feature.

I think you should either make the request in the forum or you can choose to sponsor it (paying a small fee).

though none of this will guarantee that the plugin will be created.

We started a plugin like this a long time ago, before we had the "auto_create_tags" plugin, which today create 95% of our incidents "automagically" ;-) After that point we really did not see the need to further develop it as 'auto_create' checks for duplicates anyway ...

If you are not in a rush (sorry we are all a bit busy), I can dig up what we had done before and see if I can make it work for 3.63, but no promises :-)

I think SiT should offer the following

* display no incidents on new open
* Display only 'recent' incidents from contact
* Display only 'recent' incidents from site

I agree anything more specific should be a plugin
