|Target Version||Fixed in Version|
|Summary||0001586: Redundant i18n strings|
|Description||We have quite a few language strings that say effectively the same thing.|
This is used in the redirect that happens after marking an activity complete and is really no more informative than the default "Success" message, the fact that we pass a message however causes the redirect delay to be longer.
|Tags||No tags attached.|
|Not 100% sure about just having a generic string following a success as having one message thats generic enough for any success (short of just "Success") would not be particularly clear in my mind|
If you click a button/link to do something there are only two possibly outcomes in my mind. Success or Failure.
Unless the success or failure has additional information any other message would be redundant.
I'm not suggesting we remove useful information such as explaining why something failed or describing additional things that happened besides the one the user actioned. (e.g. A new was site added but was detected to be a duplicate of an existing site).
